Are you tired of not feeling like yourself?

Maybe you feel like your emotions are not behaving the way they used to.

-Fluctuating hormones and other factors add to this.

Maybe your body randomly turns up the heat and didn’t ask for your permission.

-No thanks to hot flashes/flushes or night sweats.

Maybe you’re tired of your brain freezing and concerned about it happening at a terrible time.

-Enter brain fog or cognitive fatigue.

You don’t have to manage this alone. Compassionate + personalized MPowered Peri~Menopause care is here…

The experience of perimenopause and menopause represent a rite of passage. Your pathway is unique AND you deserve education and care that is tailored to your specific needs.

Understanding that symptoms can be silent, subtle, and/or disruptive is a way to increase awareness of what is going on with your body, mind, and mental health. My training experience and background as a clinical psychologist has given me an understanding of the symptoms, presentation, and experiences of mental health. This is not therapy but I have the background to understand your needs.

MPowering yourself with holistic education so you know what to anticipate can help you identify symptoms early and will help you make informed health-related decisions to enhance your quality of life and wellbeing as you navigate this transition.

It can be a steep learning curve but you do not have to do this alone. I am glad you are here!

I am passionate about helping women with their journey and a few ways I offer support is by:

  • Meeting you where you are and attempting to see things through your lens to address your current and ongoing challenges.

  • Fostering a safe space for you to show up authentically and be heard accurately.

  • Helping you identify the types of questions to ask and prepare for various doctors appointments and teach you how to advocate for your needs/wants

  • Helping you curate a toolkit regarding lifestyle changes and self care to support a holistic approach to managing this sacred journey

  • Helping you honor your intersecting identities as you navigate this road. For example: mom; wife; high achieving career and/or homemaker; caregiver; volunteer; musician etc.

  • Helping you to achieve some semblance of life balance as you continue to “do it all,” as so many of us do.

I’m embracing my

intersecting identities over here…

I invite you to do the same!

“I WOULD REFER CLIENTS TO DR. HAWES' CARE WITH GREAT CONFIDENCE THAT THEY WILL BE IN SKILLED AND COMPASSIONATE HANDS.”

“Dr. Hawes is the rare clinician who combines expert and evidence-based care with a keen appreciation for the humanistic and patient-centered facets of care. In addition to being well-versed in treatment of depression and anxiety, she has advanced skills in treating patients coping with injury/illness, adjustment to life transitions, health care provider work efficiency/stress/burnout, managing uncertainty, and grief/existential issues. As a female provider of color, she is especially attuned to the needs of clients from underrepresented and diverse backgrounds whose mental health concerns are often compounded by a multitude of complex psychosocial and relational stressors. I would refer clients to Dr. Hawes' care with great confidence that they will be in skilled and compassionate hands."
